Have you retired or killed off any characters this year? Was there a reason why you dropped these characters?

I did retire these guys during our winter intermission earlier this year. I was having trouble managing 23 characters and was worried that I’d get one of them killed in an AC due to lack of time/energy. I’ve also been feeling burnt out for so long it's pretty much my base state now, and I was stretching myself way too thin x’D so I took out the few characters that I felt I could without causing huge problems for others that they’re connected to. One day maybe they’ll come back but for now, 20 is my limit (at least for Svajone LOL)

Which of your active characters are you most attached to?

This question is so hard HAHA, last year was Posie… but I guess if I think of it as “what character(s) can I not possibly let go of” then I gotta say Logan, Adel or Balthazar. You can pry them from my cold dead hands. They’re all echoes of REALLY old personal characters of mine that got a new life in Svajone, and it's so fun to write for them and see how they’ve grown in a different creative space.

Which of your characters has your favourite design?

Hands down it’s Valus rn. I am never changing his app again, I got him to look exactly how I picture him in my head with his new art and that is a frickin CHALLENGE sometimes ok x’D

Still Baz LMAO I just always have such fun writing for him x”D though Dormin is a close second!! They’re both challenging to write in a very good way

Still Wander at 63! Kalnas is second with 55 B)

Which character has had the most development this year, and what have they gone through?

God. I think Posie?? She’s been processing a lot of stuff recently– still grappling with her dad being Skydas’s alpha, being caught in the surge, slowly discovering her magic (which is now mastered!!), Corin’s death, and being abandoned (again) by family. Trice disappearing without a goodbye or warning really was the final straw for her and sunshine girlie’s slipping into an angry arc UH-OH

What's the most unexpected thing that's happened to your characters this year?

Definitely Dormin getting Wolfsbane LMAO. I went into this year’s Something Wicked event not expecting anything crazy to happen for my characters and then BAM suddenly my poor tormented guy has been slapped with a magical toxin that’s slowly killing them x’D and it works perfectly for the arc I want for them too!!

What's been your favourite storyline from the past year?

Posie developing her detection!! I made a bunch of art for it and was pretty pleased with the gradual revelation that she can see other wolves’ magic : D

What was your favourite artwork (of your own) from 2022 and why?

What was your favourite RP (of your own) from 2022 and why?

Been a bit of a light year for RPs… at least it feels like it to me LMAO, but I definitely enjoyed The Decision, Ambush and Making Friends off the top of my head! All of them were very fun lengthy interactions with a lot of character dynamics to them B)

What's been your favourite IC relationship you've developed this year? Doesn't have to just be romantic - can be platonic, enemies, anything!

- Phoebe and Dionysus, as well as Oscar and Aniseed <33 I’ve also really enjoyed literally every interaction Dormin has with other Kol because they’re such a mercurial character and usually act a little different each time they talk to someone!

What IC relationship(s) do you want to develop more next year?

- Phoebe and her children!! IVE BEEN SO SLOW GETTING STARTED ON THIS but I promise I am chomping at the bit for mom and babbin shenanigans >:0

- Baz and Melinoe’s soul bond is another I am quietly vibrating with anticipation for!! SAME WITH VALRAE they’re both so close to stage 2 eeeee

- Adel’s relationship with his family in Stonehaven after his spat with Kalnas fufufu

- Wander's relationships with other Kol! He needs some friends even if hes quietly panicking about it the whole time making them LOL

Which characters and storylines from other players in your community have you enjoyed following the most?

For characters… I’ve definitely liked reading what Orion, Cove, and Heel are up to! And Olimpia my most favoritest baddest mom <3

And OH MAN there’s been a bunch of stories I’ve enjoyed. I’ve super enjoyed Eidolon’s whole arc and it was exciting to be a part of it for his punishment >B)) Amaryllis and Jackal’s fling was SPICY, and I always love reading each new Runa x Quesnel installment because they are so sweet!! Tarot’s exploration of her banshee magic was also very fun✨

Which players have you RP'ed or plotted with the most?

This is so off the top of my head LOL but I definitely think I’ve plotted the most with Loomi, Rue and Jae this year. Mith and Isaac as well mwah uwu

svajone-rp is definitely the RPG I'm most active in! Which of your characters have you roleplayed with the most this year?

Not at all surprised that skydad Lennart was my most roleplayed, with 11 RPs finished this year xD Logan was second with 8 RPs, Adel is third with 7. Yes I did go and count up all my characters' RPs for 2022 because (for the most part) I have them logged on their apps hehe

Roman and Reine, with 1 and 0 RPs respectively. Reine has a few wip ones but I didn't count those since they're not finished P:

Have you made any new characters this year?

I have not... for reasons I shall elaborate on below. Have you retired or killed off any characters this year? Was there a reason why you dropped these characters?

I haven't retired anyone this year, but I think a few will be put on the bench soon. Not sure which ones - I love making new chars but keeping them all active is increasingly tough while being an Alpha, staff, and working my irl job. I'm struggling to between having fun and being stressed out trying to keep up with all 23 of my characters and their stories... the addiction has finally caught up to me fellas. BUT FEAR NOT, whoever I retire won't be gone forever

I just love her. I'm attached to all my characters of course and love them to bits, but Posie is for sure one of the ones I'm most attached to. Probably top 3 are her, Adel and Caliadne

This is a hard one, but I think I gotta go with Oscar! He just looks Nice and although I always sigh when I go to line in his plethora of scars, he takes the crown for my favorite design <3

Which of your characters is your favourite to write?

I love this manipulative conniving dastardly evil man with my whole heart LOL. He's just so much fun to write and I want all the best things to happen to him, as well as all the worst because he'd 100% deserve karma biting him in the ass

Which character has had the most development this year, and what have they gone through?

AGHHH this is tough, I truly don't know if I developed anyone a whole lot this year... I think Enid and Oscar might be the ones I've made the most progress with? Enid has gone through her transformation and spiral into paranoia/self-isolation, and she's at her breaking point - Oscar has similarly been brought to rock bottom since he has been my favorite character to throw at trouble since October last year HAHA. Poor man got beat up by Bear #2, didn't fully recover, had to question if he's fit for his job and then got clobbered by a ghost in Aperio. He's been Through ItTM

What's the most unexpected thing that's happened to your characters this year?

Posie found out her mystery dad is in fact the Alpha of Skydas!! That sure was a curveball for her x'D she's still wrapping her head around it AND the fact she might have magic ANNND that her sistor just died. Girl's got a lot going on with her. Valus also turned out much more of a secret softie than I intended, and his connection with Moirae has me and Rue torn between Valari and Valarae because both are amazing

What's been your favourite storyline from the past year? Probably Oscar for all of the above developments that have happened to him, and the trials yet to come his way :>

What was your favourite artwork (of your own) from 2022 and why?

Probably this one xD I just had a ball and a half with the expressions of these two! Even though collabs aren't included shout out to Strange Ties because its one of my favorite ones I've done this year <33

What was your favourite RP (of your own) from 2022 and why?

I've done so many fun RPs this year, but my top 3 (because there's no way I could just pick one) are Solace, Things Seen and Unseen, and Anywhere the Wind Blows! I love Lennart and Pekhat's dynamic and how they've grown close since Pekhat joined Skydas, but this RP in particular hit me right in the feels because of how heartfelt it was; both of them have lost loved ones and struggle with grief, and helped each other feel a little less alone when Lennart shared that piece of his past to empathize with Pekhat <3 and of course I also just love Loomi's writing and every time we RP it sparks great joy in me

Things Seen and Unseen and Anywhere the Wind Blows are favorites of mine for similar reasons, since Valus and Ariadne are very close and tied to each other by their history together, and TSaU was one of my first RPs for Dormin : D who I love writing for since they have one of the strangest personalities I've given a character haha. I treasure both of these RPs dearly

- Baz and Meli and wherever their relationship is heading - Loomi and I aren't sure yet what they'll become and that makes it all the more fun to explore them HAHA

- Logan and Puffin, I never thought Logan would be a mom again but here we are HAHA, ilu OutspokenChaos for putting up with my pestering to make another char x'D can't wait to have more adventures of Puffin and Stinky Lady

- THETIS. AND PHOEBE. Hi yes I love them and Phoebe is a Terrible Person but boy is she crushing hard and I think she and Thetis's are sweet as heck

What IC relationship(s) do you want to develop more next year?

Logan & Puffin for sure before uh... things happen.... but also more Lenkhat, BazMeli & BazNyx, and Valus/Rae :}

Which characters and storylines from other players in your community have you enjoyed following the most? - HAWKWEED I love him and all that Ka has made for him so far, as well as Iorikh's return to the RP scene <33 I've super enjoyed reading new rps from him

- Zevi and Ramses's storyline for sure!! I was pretty sure Tonkwan's death was coming but man it was still so fun to read xD and see how Zevi and Ram dealt with the aftermath

- SAVANT and the whirlwind year that poor family has had ahhh the drama and emotional roller coaster of it has been crazy to follow <3

Which players have you RP'ed or plotted with the most? I'd like to think I plot with just about everyone in Sva BUT, halloumicheese decarbry Jaeggy Scribbleloupe RaptureRue are players I know I've plotted with lots this year

JULY UPDATES

Welcome to July! The island sure is looking different this month. Read on to find out more about the huge changes to the structure of Svajone…

NEW PACKS

This month sees Tundes finally fracture and split into three smaller factions - Stonehaven, led by former Beta einar Yetta; Taika, led by former herbalist Morgur; and Skydas, led by former einar Lennart.

By now, you should all have completed your official pack transfers, and moved your characters onto their new application sheets. If you have not done so, your character has been moved to the archives. They will remain there and be unable to participate or earn souls until you have updated your application sheet. The transfers channel in Discord has been deleted, so you must now note the group instead to confirm your transfer.

Below, please find in character details about moving into each faction. Each Alpha will also provide a range of prompts for you to complete, which will be posted in your pack announcements Discord channel. Responding to any of these prompts will be activity check worthy, as will any content related to your character’s decision and/or the formation of the new packs.

FORMATION OF STONEHAVEN

Shortly after the pack meeting, Yetta gathers her most trusted confidants and reveals her intentions to abandon the territory and forge a new life in the Tyluman Mountains. They will be safe behind pillars of stone, shielded from northern invasion and able to prepare for the wars to come. Branka, Adel, Tenoch, Oscar, Naktis, Nerio, Helfysir, and Mar are tasked with spreading the word. In the following days, these wolves seek out any who share their vision for the future, and instruct them to meet at the God’s Pass beneath the light of the Ash Moon. Yetta and her followers slip away under the cover of darkness, anxious to claim the western fortress for themselves. They follow the river north, and by dawn, they reach the valley.

FORMATION OF SKYDAS

When Osirus’s final order was revealed, Lennart refused to follow it. He doesn’t believe that war with the Kol is the right answer, nor does he think that trying to kill Malaysia will bring anything but further bloodshed, and enough lives have been lost on both sides of the island already. Determined to make peace with the Kol and to find a solution to the mysterious deaths - rather than preparing for war - Lennart announces his intention to move east to Cliffside, and encourages those who share his belief that peace is still possible to follow. Logan helps to spread his message, showing that one of the four Betas supports his decision to split from the Tundes, and over the course of a few weeks the two of them work together to establish Skydas.

FORMATION OF TAIKA

With Osirus gone, the deep divides grew between the wolves of Tundes. To Yetta's went the wolves that were distrustful of Kol and magic, to Len's went wolves that wanted to work with the Kol, and who seemed open towards magic. There was no place for the wolves that perhaps did not want to meddle with the Kol, who wanted to live in harmony with the island. And so Morgur set out southwards towards Elysia. Along the way, Morgur welcomed those that were willing to live in harmony with, and trust the island to join him, and the Taika formed, like single raindrops joining into a river.

FROM TUNDES TO KOL

Only a small number of Tundes took this opportunity to turn tail and side with the Kol instead. Usually they would be welcomed, but as the refugees arrive after a failed assassination attempt and the warning that another had been intended, the Alva is rightfully suspicious. For a few agonizing moments it seems as though she might chase the hopefuls away - but eventually, Malaysia allows them entry, with a warning. You will be watched. Every eye of the North will be upon you. You must prove your loyalty, or you will be killed.

Malaysia appoints Asra to keep a close eye on Zevi, and Raksha to keep a close eye on Lanval, but all Kol are reminded to keep their wits about them and be on alert for any signs of disloyalty from the new recruits.

OOC DETAILS

There is no transfer fee for moving into any new pack, or to Kol.

If your character has a trade, they can transfer their ranking over into their new pack. They may only transfer into an appropriate corresponding trade (e.g. herbalist to appropriate healer trade). You can choose a totally new trade if you wish, but you must start again from omega.

If your character moves to Kol, they cannot transfer their ranking. They will join as Varen.

You will notice that all the packs now have an additional ranking level that the Tundes did not previously have. This ranking corresponds with what was previously the purchasable Beta rank from the shop. Each pack then has one additional higher rank which cannot be purchased, and can only be earned in character.

While the new factions settle in, purchase of the beta-corresponding rank is temporarily suspended. No character can purchase a rank above Tradewolf (Stonehaven), Master (Taika) or Gamma (Skydas) until further notice. The only characters who may hold this rank are characters who were previously Betas, and only as agreed with the new Alpha.

WHAT ABOUT POSTING CONTENT SET IN TUNDES?

The Tundes Art and Literature folder has been moved to the Island Archives, but it is still open for submissions. You can submit content there in the coming months, as you complete any remaining/ongoing RPs or collabs set during that time period. After a few months, the folder will be locked, and the era of Tundes finally settled down into history.

SOME DELAYS

For reasons of which you are all aware, Loomi has been a little slow, so there is a slight delay on posting of the new pack journals. For the time being please refer to the Docs provided in Discord for information about each pack; the main journals and full listings of ranks will follow as soon as possible.

NEW MAP!

The Svajone map has had a professional facelift, thanks to the amazing Wulfghast! Please go and have a nosy at how beautiful it is, and familiarize yourself with the many amazing new landmarks. Some of the landmarks were provided by members during our Suggest-a-thon, and reward souls will be credited as soon as possible for each suggestion that was made reality.

KOL PACK INFORMATION UPDATE

JULY MONTHLY COMMUNITY CHALLENGE

A new month means a new challenge! This month's community challenge theme is ADAPT. The island is no longer the same strip of land that the wolves once knew. Long gone are the simple days and the peace of the United Pack has all but dissolved in the wake of death and magic. Still, the wolves thrive - albeit with a few changes to their lifestyle and way of thinking. How has your character adapted to the changes within Almos? You can complete this prompt via art or literature. Completing this prompt will earn 3 souls.

COMMUNITY GOAL! July's community goal is set to 15! If 15 or more people complete the prompt, EVERYONE who participated will earn 1 extra soul!
